Teddy (tonks's baby boy) was at the station "snogging Victoire" but he would be 19 - did it mean he was just seeing her off? or is he supposed to still be at school I think that JK has left herself wide open for more books though (yay) I really enjoyed it. I cant wait until I finish the other books so I can read it again (bad habbit of mine - keep re-reading them over and over again - you keep reading things that you missed last time ) "It says that Teddy was seeing Victoire off" so he wasn't at school anymore. Christian Posted July 25, 2007 Share Posted July 25, 2007 We got back from Holiday at 1.30am on Sunday morning. I had already begged Chris the Postie to leave HP and the DH either in the shed or with next door! He received 6 eggs this week, not the usual 4! I had to do loads of washing, tidying and repacking for work on Sunday but managed to finish the book whilst at work! I was in Milan last night and today and cried at the end! I think its the best one she has written (so far )! Really got into it and will have to reread it soon! Jane I have just reread the chapter where he gets taken to the Malfoy's by the Snatchers. Bellatrix was really panicked when she thought her vault at Gringotts had been broked into and the real sword of Griffindor had been taken , by that Harry deduced that V must have asked her to keep something safe in her vault, but not told her what it was. I don't think Harry knew exactly what to look for when he got the the vault ( not got there yet in my reading) but he deduced it was probably Huffpuff's cup as she was a founder of Hogwarts, & V would have liked something so important to make into a Horcrux. How clever was that & how brilliant will it look on film I think when in the vault he tells Hermione & Ron to lok for something with either Hufflepuffs or Ravenclaws insignia on it So while he doesn't know exactly what to look for,he will know it when he sees it. hillfamily Posted July 26, 2007 Share Posted July 26, 2007 well I've finished (our copy didn't turn up until tuesday had especially made time over the weekend to read it ) loved the book but felt the '19 years later' didn't add anything. I would have preferred to leave the future to my own imagination. I think we all knew that ron and hermione, and harry and ginny would get togehter. I have looked forward to reading everybody's reviews but wouldn't peep until I had finished it. I cried 3 times: Hedwig, Dobby, and when Harry bravely came face to face with death. I was sad at the thought of the others dieing too. I hoped Mad Eye might show up again. I was sorry that Tonks had to die, it was a shame to make another orphan. Do you think Harry brought up Tonk's son as he was god-father? They mentioned making him really part of the family, so I guessed he did. I loved the thought of Kreacher being loyal. chocchick Posted August 3, 2007 Share Posted August 3, 2007 I realised I could finally read this thread I finished HP this week as had to wait for OH to finish first Did anyone else feel sorry for the dragon It was blind, shut underground for years then finally released I think the best bit was the section with Dobby and the dragon, and Snape's bit at the end.
