Cate in NZ
She's located in Banbury too I see, extremely handy for any Omlet boys and forum members who want Omlet pants/ calendar photos taking. I bet she can get hold of the calendar making software There's just no excuse for it now- got the pants, got the photographer.... all we need are the bottoms
Guest
Mmmm . . . we weren't at all impressed when my brother-in-law and his wife gave us a framed photo of them for Christmas. Maybe because there are no children but it seemed a strange gift for 30 somethings to give - 'and here's a picture of US'. Not the same as a big family picture to give to the grandparents. I don't know where the photo is now, but we never put it up
The Dogmother
That's a good idea Kate A. Karen is a great Bird and would certainly be up for snapping men in their underpants
Cate in NZ
And of course I'm sure you could arrange to be around to help Clare, just in case she needed any assistance with carrying all those heavy rolls of film

Guest
Mornin'! They reckon 2-3 days for delivery of my pants. Shame I don't live near Banbury. And what's all this Juliet Bravo stuff, Clare? You'll be on Crimewatch next.
The Dogmother
Aha, better bare my back then and get a photo! I always honour my promises Gosh, I am sooo tired. The police didn't go until about 2am and then I was wide awake, so sat in bed and did a Sudoko to send me to sleep. We live in a lovely Victorian street near the centre of Banbury, everyone who lives here is great, but unfortunately ther are some real scum, who walk through our road to get to the 'sink estate' at the top of Banbury. We have had real problems withcar vandalism and fights in the street, Thursday nights are bad, as they collect their giro's and head off to the pub for the rest of the day. This bloke has been vandalising cars recently, and I am really pleased that we got him - turns out that he is wanted for other stuff here, and also for not turning up at court inWales, so two for the price of one! I have set up a neighbourhood watch scheme in our street, we have agreat relationship with the police, and it works well at keeping our street safe. TTFN ZZzzzzzz..... Louise
Good for you Clare. Some scumbag kds kicked off my wing mirror when I was at my parents the other month They live on the coast in a nice place but just recently there has been a spate of stuff and the annoying thing is the police know who it is but nothing gets done. About 2 weeks after I was done (and reported it) they were at it again It cost me £40 to get a second hand mirror which fortunately I could fit myself as it is not electric or anything imagine the cost if it had to go in for a new one to be done it makes my blood boil
Lesley
OK so your not impressed with my ideas. But I'm only talking out of experience. My 2 grans are 91 and 90 - so they're 'OK' pressies for that age aren't they?? One of my poor old grans fell over a stupid rubber mat in Sainsburys last week and broke her hip. At 91 she's not going to get over that now is she. And not a word from Mr Sains - nothing - not even a 'how are you' - disgusting. There shouldn't be mats down in supermarkets anyway. Anyway, I'm going off topic. Presents for Grans - Grans range from 40 to 90 yr olds, so basically any present will do. It's the thought that counts. I didn't mean to offend you Sue - I just suddenly felt really old Ideal pressie ideas for the much older grandma I hope your granny soon recovers from her fall - it's disgusting that Sainsbury have not even apologised
Guest
(Crooked Chicken here - not logged on). No offence taken Lesley. I was being slightly sarcastic suggesting those "old fogey" presents, but sad thing is, my nan's would be quite happy with these pressies - Aaaahhh Bless!! - better than Reds suggestion of support tights (and there again, that's what I bought my nan last time I visited her - double bless !!) red
Right back on topic - PRESENTS. Red - present for Granny - very difficult - they've got it all at that age haven't they, but here's my granny list all the same. Bromley soap set (always a hit with the older generation); 4711 perfume or L'aimant; a cardi; subscription to Yours or Grace magazines; magnifying glass; cosy slippers or non slip socks; Thorntons toffees to suck; one of those lap trays with a bean bag stuck to the bottom of it; a homemade orange pomander (grannies love home made things). Need any more ideas There are actually some good ideas here CC. My Nan is in her 80's and and is very tricky to buy for. Firstly because she never goes out of the house and if I'm honest she doesn't really have any hobbies or interests other than TV and a good gossip. Soap implies she smells so I won't get that The beanbag tray is an excellent idea except for the fact I bought her one of those two years ago and haven't ever seen her use it I DO like the idea of a subscription to a tacky gossip/granny magazine though - so I'll probably go for that - Thanks EVERYONE PLEASE KEEP POSTING PRESSIE IDEA FOR ANYONE - THERE ARE LOTS MORE PEOPLE ON MY PRESSIE LIST - NIECES, NEPHEWS, DAD, MUM, SISTER, OH, THE LIST GOES ON .... Crooked Chicken
Queen of ideas me!! Guess wot - went shopping today and bought myself more 'henorobelia' (forgive spelling). Your going to be dead jealous when I post piccies. Will go to bed tonight with a satisfying little grin on my face - it's so nice treating yourself to a pressie isn't it. NOTE TO DIARY - must try harder to spend more money on myself. night night

Ruth
I am really pleased with a torch I recently bought on ebay and have now bought more as presents - it doesn't need batteries, you just charge it up by shaking it, and it's really small and light. Very useful for trips out to shut the eglu door after dark! A whole range can be found by searching on "forever torch" on ebay - the ones I got were £4.50 inc P&P on "buy it now". (yup, my family don't get expensive presents ). And they are cool for kids' birthday pressies.
Lesley
Ruth - don't make me visit ebay again Who knows what i will buy this time?
Ruth
Don't tell me, Lesley, I get seduced by all sorts of er, bargains on ebay But I was pleased to see that SPR sells Diatom and other supplies on ebay, which I find convenient for ordering and paying (SPR's seller id is plumpies18). No, I'm not trying to tempt you on to the site, really!
