new arrivals...

Recommended Posts

We had a sad start to our day as Amber didn't wake up this morning.... She'd had a prolapse this week, but was coping well and was a bright as a button yesterday. It just goes to show how quickly things change.

We needed corn and grit so off we went and saw these! How could we resist. You can't just get 2 as they need a group so we found a lovely light sussex with an amber fleck. It was meant to be!!!

Your new girls are lovely :D

I used to have 3 jubilee orp sisters (they have the same markings as a speckled sussex) called Flo, Snow and ... I can't remember the other girl's name :(

I called one Snow because she had more white on her as a grower, but of course she moulted it out, and then as they get older they have a tendency to get whiter anyway. In the end I couldn't tell the difference between 2 of them, they were like peas in a pod  The cockeral always preferred the 3rd girl, so she was easy to spot - she had to wear a saddle
