Lesley
Yes it is - we bought it but have never put it in the ground I'll see if I can contact the Company - it is still in its box.
chrisnrob
Have just bought the twin pack of Bokashi bins from the www.recyclenow.com website. My only gripe is that I can't specify a different delivery address so will probably have to arrange to collect them from the carrier as there's no one in during the day Rob
chrisnrob
They came on Thursday and they left them with a neighbour Am going to try and get the first one going this weekend. The bran's a bit potent though - we've had to put it outside!! Rob
ali-s
My Bokashi bins arrived yesterday and one is already in use. I quite like the smell of the bran.

Trish
I've stopped butting the bokashi juice down the drain, what I don't use for fertilizer I bung in the compst heap with the rest, seems fine. Ta for that.
ali-s
My Bokashi bin has been filled and it has been left for the suggested two weeks. I know you can put the contents into a compost bin, but the food still looks too much like food and I don't want to encourage rats into my garden. I'm unsure what to do What does everyone else do with their Bokashi bin food waste?
Egluntyne
I dig a trench and bury it.
ali-s
Couldn't decide where to dig a trench in the garden. Most of the borders are full of plants and bulbs and I didn't fancy liftting some of the lawn, digging a hole and then laying back the lawn In the end I put it all into our green cone. It was quite interesting as I got to the bottom of the bokashi bin to see what meals I had cooked nearly 3 months previously
Ain't Nobody Here
Just started with my bokashi bin yesterday. Interested to know too whether people are putting the pickley stuff straight into the compost. I've been putting citrus fruits into my compost bin for ages but am aware that you're not supposed to - can I put them into the bokashi bin instead even though that'll end up in the compost too? Egluntyne
Sometimes I bury it, sometimes I put it on the compost heap. Depends on my mood.
Rona
Do you put bokashi bran in your chicken's feed? The omlet shop says to mix it in at 5% and also to sprinkle it on tray under the roosting bars. I've assumed that this then activates the compost heap when the poo tray is emptied onto it. Ain't Nobody Here
Yes, I put it in the feed and the poo tray. Can't remember why for the poo tray but your explanation sounds sensible .
Egluntyne
It helps keep he smell down a bit when put in the poo tray.
