Strangely it was delivered by a Davie too but I think it may be too far for yours to travel DHL were quite good recently too as I knew when the parcel had left the Glasgow depot.......now if only I could get the men to ring the doorbell rather than gently touching the door knocker Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

yvonne Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 Yup, my online pet supplies Co (pet supermarket)uses DPD and I can alter the day if I need to and also get a text or e-mail with a one hour delivery slot which is always accurate - such a pleasant change from most of the companies I have had experience of (even Royal Mail are unreliable here as the Bridgwater sorting office staff do enjoy going on strike when the sun comes out). sjp Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 I've had a couple of deliveries by DPD in the last month and both have been before 9am without having to pay extra for it to. both arrived before the tracking system had court up as well I think DPD have changed the way they work as we now seem to get the same driver well driver and mate the driver does the unload while the girl with him does the paperwork Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It must save them so much time and money, knowing the customer will always be in. Edit, just had an email from Interlink for another parcel which seems to use the same system . In America they have got deliveries & pick ups right - the customer is treated like they should be,not made to dance to the couriers tune It just takes one or two courier services in the uk to treat us properly,do a good job & not overcharge, & all the others will need to start doing the same Can you tell that I have wasted faaaaar too many days waiting in for a delivery or a pick up? soapdragon Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 This happened to me recently - they gave me a window of one hour (sadly the one hour in the 24 I needed to be out !) Tho I managed to rearrange things and they did, indeed, turn up in the allotted time slot - I was able to follow the progress on the comp. which ES thought was so exciting! and the driver was lovely and smiley.
