Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I just wanted to share...

 

One of my Orpington girls - Mog - has become very dedicated to running to my feet when I walk into the WIR and instantly pulling and playing with the laces on my pumps. She completely ignores any treats I throw down if I am wearing a certain pair of pumps, and she leaves the other girls to it while she scrambles over my pumps and pulls at the laces until she's undone both shoes.

 

This was actually the reason I picked her when I went to the poultry farm...she was very interested in the same laces then

 

I hope she doesn't change when she comes into lay! I am quite enjoying her quirky nature (even if I am worried about stepping on her every moment I am in their WIR area!!)

 

Are there any other chickens out there that have a strong desire to pull at bits of cotton?!

Maybe she thinks they are worm's? one of my girls like my nail varnish, I thought it was because it was a deep red but even when I changed it to other colours she loves nothing better that pecking my toes with me shouting obscenities at her.....my neighbours must think me psychotic

One of my original Omlet girls used to peck the moles on the back of my leg - guessed she thought it was a bug.

And I think one of them used to like shoelaces and rings

They're white! It has to be the same laces too, otherwise she's not interested
