Dahato3
Just a quick question once again...... My existing chickens are due to be wormed so we have bought a sack of marriages layers pellets with flubenvet. I also have in an adjacent run a mixture of frizzles and pekins some of which I plan to keep, some I plan to move on. They are all 11 weeks old. Should I feed them the same food to worm them as well or are they too young? Any advice much appreciated.
good_egg
Aren't the marriages pellets layers - I would have thought they were too young for to be off growers....
Dahato3
Yes they are layers pellets but before I go ahead and treat all of the others I just wondered if they would benefit from a dose of worming treatment at the same time or whether they are too young for a dose of flubenvet. They have been outside in a separate pen adjacent to the others. I suspect they maybe too young and have always waited in the past.
The Dogmother
Personally I'd wait until they are older, or ask your vet about worming them with Panacur*. You can get growers with Flubenvet, but only in large quantities as we use them for the pheasant poults. *not licensed for use on poultry in the UK.
