Unsecure chicken perches

Stolen time, like the half an hour that I have just spent reading my book, I am sure that I should be cleaning or ironing or something, but there is no one here to judge me, so what the hell, I might even read a bit more while I have my lunch.

This is a very enlightening thread.......reading through it, it is quite clear that we all value the simple things in life which I find very touching and poigniant (tho that's prob not how you spell it!)

Most of all a sense of belonging - whether as part of this Omelt forum, or the greyhound rescue society i used to work for or in my home with my OH

 

and so many little things like:

Watching my dogs chasing each other - free to run and run

The sound of the wind in the big beech trees near where I live and the sun shining through their early leaves

Purple crocuses, holly hocks and deep pink roses

Driving back from Kent to the sound of Southern radio on a Saturday evening when the M25 is magically clear.

The sun shining in my little yellow study

Putting on my nightie when it's been on the radiator then snuggling into the duvet

Stirring the furniture in my house and feeling pleased with the result

Eating chocolate

 

Watching the chooks dust bathe and end up looking dirtier than when they started

 

A pot of miniature daff bulbs to pop on the window sill

 

Time when OH and mine shifts are in line and we get to have a rare day off together

 

Planning a holiday - even down to the car parking at the airport

Unexpected lovely relaxed lunch with OH in a nice pub with a glass of vino, happy days.
