Karen & co.
Gosh, after what seems like an age to get the dratted broadband back up and running it's nice to be back and see what everyone is up to We moved back home after some extensive building work, and it's great to be back there is rather a lot of bare wood, and plaster walls but hey ho! it's ours again I can't believe I also won the cushion in the auction what a lovely surprise, thank you AnnieP! it will look great in the new room Unfortunately we lost Pixie one of our ex-battery girls just before we went on holiday she hadn't been ill, she just looked a little under the weather the day before she died, and I thought if she was still off colour then I would take her to the vets the next day, but she died in the night with her friends around her I'm a little worried about the number of posts since I last logged on so it may take a while to catch up! karen x
Lesley
Hi Karen - nice to see you back - just log out and back in again and all the red arrows will disappear Quite liberating really and then you can just pick the posts you want to read sorry to hear about Pixie - at least she didn't suffer and she had a good life after being rescued. Mel (& Paul)
Hi Karen Good to see you back It must be wonderful to be back in your old home. What a shame about Pixie - but she was surrounded by her friends and you gave her the chance to spread her wings and scratch and peck and potter about

Karen & co.
Hi Paola no you're not mixing me up with anyone else We haven't seen 'Fred' since we moved back in, but have had a number of problems with the Aga, that the engineer can't seem to trace We wondered if it's because the flue now comes out near to where he 'walks' and he doesn't like it? It has gone out more times in a week than it did in 10 years before It even did it the day my daughter had her birthday party at home, she choose a baking party with all her friends making pizza cakes etc. for tea and to take home. I'm sure you can imagine how pleased I was about that karen x
ubereglu
Aw, poor Pixie. I know it's hard losing hens, as my Henrietta died a month ago now and it's not the same without her. You keep expecting her to come round the corner, but she won't. At least she had a nice life with you and got to experience the GREAT OUTDOORS!!! Welcome back by the way, I'm glad you're building work's finished.
