The Dogmother
My Zanussi condenser dryer sometimes beeps during a cycle; the drying starts, it beeps 3 times in rapid succession, then carries on drying. This repeats. It doesn't seem to be linked in any way to the type or size of load, or whether the washing is tangled. I have tried opening the door and re-arranging the load, sometimes it carries on beeping, other times it doesn't. I have checked online and through the manual with no glimmer of an idea as to why it does this... anyone got any ideas? Tanks is emptied regularly, fluff filters and condenser cleaned.... Valkyrie
You've got the road runner in there? Must be the electronics - or maybe something is about to go wrong and perhaps thermostat overheating? If it hasn't got it in the manual then maybe you ring the company and see what they suggest. It may be something that didn't come to light when the manual was first published. Soapdragon!
The Dogmother
I have it in mind to ring them tomorrow if it is still doing it. It doesn't happen every cycle though
bluekarin
Just had a brief google and found this answer forum http://www.justanswer.com/uk-appliance/30t1n-hi-zanussi-zde57140w-tumble-dryer-keeps.html
The Dogmother
Thanks, I saw that one. It does 3 beeps, and not every cycle though. I think I will call my appliance repair chappie to see if he can shed any light on it.
Alis girls
Ours was out of action for 2 weeks over the wet spell and I was going mental. We had a pile of towels waiting to be washed and the reason took so long - the hook thing on the door (sorry not mechanically minded) broke off - this minute thing had to be ordered despite being 2.5inches long max and OH couldnt believe guy hadnt got one on his van. I cant help I'm afraid but hope you get it sorted.

The Dogmother
I know! I wouldn't mind, but I resisted getting a dryer for many years, but caved in when my great aunt gave me some cash one Christmas. It was a pain getting stuff dry otherwise; I am out all day, so the heating is off, and there's nowhere to hide airers full of washing, which would take days on end to dry.... not good when we get through 5 loads of sports gear between us in a week, let alone all the other laundry and dog towels/blankets.
