which was on last night....was it me or was it hard to watch in terms of horror of what was happening? I nearly gave up one third of the way through it,, kept going only because I told myself that it was happening time and time again in WW1.

I watched it all, I didn't think it was particularly strong, there were certainly some sad, but true parts, still nothing on the horrors that occurred in WW1. Maybe it's just me though!

Was about to say same as PatsyLabrador. Great book. I read it a few months ago as I am documenting our local graveyard and there was a mention in the book of one of the nurses who is commemorated in the graveyard, along with her husband. Both died in the end of the flu outbreak. And so young.

Watched it and didnt find it disturbing. I remember nursing Sisters like that portrayed - married to the job and "what I say goes".

I thought it was very good I will definitely watch the whole series
