Valkyrie
In searching for a special present and a print of hedgehogs I came across a company called Spoonflower. Quite an interesting concept - they have designers and you can request a print on wallpaper/fabric you name it they do it! I wanted hedgehogs and this is the one I fancy. Mind you a fat quarter print on Kona cotton is a tad expensive, but worth it if you can find something unusual. The one I've ordered is the hedgehog tea in yellow. Thought it was cute. http://www.spoonflower.com/shop?utf8=%E2%9C%93&type=fabric&view=designs&shop=fabric&q=hedgehog+tea&x=21&y=

Plum
I've heard a lot about Spoonflower lately. You send a file and they print your design for you. So you could take photos of your kids lego and design your own fabric. How cool is that!
Valkyrie
Well I have ordered 2 lots - one being the hedgehog and another is a fat quarter of puffins. Turns out the designer is from Nottingham! She already emailed me to thank me - how lovely! So I think for that it will be an Irish chain with the puffins as a centre square and white with black, red, orange and yellow squares to tie in with beaks - or black red and blue, dunno yet, but the brain is working so much that I dreamt about quilting last night! Brilliant isn't it. Just think someone might like your design and order some for themselves! Also as it is shipped by sea it is only $2 postage (but for each and that makes $6 for my stuff. Even so a flat rate air envelope is considerably more expensive nowadays, so I'm happy with that. Must try not to make it a habit because the fabric costs a bomb!!! But it's soooo tempting! Walk away Kooj walk awayyyyyyyy!!!!
bluekarin
I love their stuff. I think they did the fabric of a Facebook craft ladies design whose page I follow, Marnie Makes I believe it was. Actually, after having a look just now, I can't find any by her. Wonder who it was? Anyway, gorgeous fabrics

Valkyrie
It arrived this week - OH said and justhe what did you buy with all my money in that little packet? The hedgehogs in the teacup are larger than I thought but good for the centre of a star or somesuch (I think I'll have it in the middle of perhaps a Celtic swirlywhirly as it's going to be a cushion pressie for a Scottish lady) but it's still pretty and I like it. As for the puffins - well OH said ooooh I like that! So there we go. Sorted. And just what did you do Christian!!!! Oh my next year come to the quilt show with us!!! I did see some people wandering round with small luggage bags on wheels. Now I know why!!!!
