Ain't Nobody Here
I shall be avoiding chocolate, sweets, crisps and fizzy drinks for the month of November . It's a Facebook challenge by a hill runner friend of OH's. I won't find crisps, sweets or fizzy drinks much of a challenge but chocolate might be a bit tougher. Weigh in at beginning and end so I'll be interested to see if it makes a difference. I've been using up all the Jaffa cakes and the homemade caramel shortbread. That'll be a few more calories to shift then . Couple of Omleteers are on board already - anyone else up for it ?
Olly
Only if November starts on Tuesday ... I've got a big weekend planned! It sounds like a great idea, I may join in after this weekend's out the way.
bluekarin
I did see this on Facebook and am considering doing it. I have just lost about 3/4 stone by doing Stoptober and have a wedding to go to at the end of December. Might be a step too far to give up all the nice treats

Purplemaniacs
Me too please but may I please eat chocolate mouse on Sunday as DS and his girlfriend are coming for dinner and it was a pud recipe that was gluten free Chrissie
The Dogmother
Me too, have started to eat rubbish out of tiredness
Ain't Nobody Here
Day One! Weighed myself this morning. Horrified that I seem to have crept up to almost 11st . I'd got down to just over 10st a while back . Think I might have to avoid more than chocolate this month .
Purplemaniacs
Oh no do we have to admit how much we weigh Well here goes 58.7 kg. Not sure in stones as I can't get the scales to change their unit of measure. I was 45 kg when I got married and that was 29 years ago tomorrow I don't do enough exercise and have been eating rubbish recently so I will try to do better in November. Charlottechicken
Thanks for this ANH! I'm also eating rubbish, and grazing a lot on biscuits and junk in the evenings Will find the scales and get a start point. OH and I have just resumed our Friday trips out, so hopefully plenty of walking and fresh air will help I'll still have a little treat now and again, just need to be sensible about it
Ain't Nobody Here
I thought if I admitted how much I weigh, it might motivate me to lose more! Not sure you've got much to worry about, Chrissie, I'm about 70kg .
Purplemaniacs
I thought if I admitted how much I weigh, it might motivate me to lose more! I thought something very similar. If I was 6 foot I would be skinny but I only make 5 foot on a good day Chrissie
PixieDust
This sounds a cop out but I shall join you after 9th and go on a further 9 days. I will pick whilst studying and hand in date is 9th. I also have an Endo appointment early December so it'll do no harm to have lost a bit. Also my brothers birthday on 7th November and it'll be cakes and stuff. bluekarin
Count me in. I won't say what I weigh but I will do my best to avoid crisps, chocolate fizzy drinks. I will still have a piece of cake very now and then though as I bake one a week for lunch boxes
Guest
I will join the challenge but it will have to be Monday as have a big family BBQ today, I will be making hangover beating breakfast muffins tomorrow morning. I have eaten far too much junk over last few months due to the worlds most stressful house sale (it still is not over grrrr)
Charlottechicken
I have eaten far too much junk over last few months due to the worlds most stressful house sale (it still is not over grrrr) I could have written that, Mrs B. House SSTC since 2nd August, still no move date I think that's why I've taken to cupboard grazing in the evenings. Oddly, I've just weighed myself and am lighter than when I was at work, running around a huge office building all day and getting overstressed. Now though, I do have three long walks in a week (of around 3 miles) and am much more relaxed but feel unfit Found out what I weigh in kilos, it sounds a lot! chickencam
I too weigh just under 11st which at 5'3" is too much, and because I dont really eat crisps, chocolate or fizzy stuff anyway, I am going to to do a stopvember instead. I think that alcohol is my vice. The last couple of weeks my weekend bottle has had a cork not a screw cap so I have felt the need to drink a glass each night to finish it off. I now have no open wine in the house so at the very least no more wine until the weekend but hopefully I will last until December. It can only do me good. It will be good to lose a few pounds before the Christmas eating starts
Plum
I started ANH on Saturday and have survived a weekend without chocolate! The good thing is that while I'm cutting out chocolate and sweets why would I spoil it with other empty food so I'm certainly eating better, even if it's only been 3 days. Positive Thinker
Just seen this thread and I am definitely up for it. I tend to run and grab a snack rather than take time to eat a proper meal which I need to stop so this will be a good incentive.
Ain't Nobody Here
It is actually making me think a bit more about what I'm eating. Can't say I'm being particularly good even though I'm avoiding the forbidden items but I've stopped buying those yummy Malteaser bars when I'm in a shop which had become a bit of a habit ). OH, annoyingly, keeps saying "should you be eating that biscuit/cake/etc?". They're not on the list so yes, I should .
Plum
How's it going. I've stuck to it and lost 3lbs and the sugar rush. How are the rest of you feeling
Purplemaniacs
I am sticking it to but I have not stood on the scales yet. Chrissie
Ain't Nobody Here
Still sticking to it but hadn't lost any weight the last time I stood on the scales . Should probably have added cakes to the list .
Egluntyne
Fell off the wagon last night as someone had made a gluten free chocolate cake especially for me. It would have been rude not to have had a slice since they had gone to so much trouble It is my only sin so far since the challenge began. chickencam
I have been pretty good most of the time, but it was our anniversary yesterday and YD 's birthday today, so wine and cake have been consumed but only on those occasions, not at any other time.
