Claireabella
I'm a bit late reading this (and rubbish at choosing names) but many congratulations Pixie Dust on getting your new girls! All of your time will now be spent chicken watching Enjoy!
PixieDust
I have decided to worm the girls. I have just had to order some MArriages with Flubenvet. Again, stupidly didn't get any beforehand. Roll on Wednesday! The Copper is ok-ish today. Still retracting her head down a bit and eyes go a little oval with them closing up a little. Eating well. Honestly not seen her drink. I saw a poo yesterday evening which could be caecal but could be a sign of worms. I should have popped them straight onto a wormer. OK well it's ordered and hopefully I'm in time to catch this.
Ain't Nobody Here
I wouldn't panic unduly yet - you're doing exactly right keeping an eye on things and she may well perk up soon.
PixieDust
I emailed the poultry guy as he said any concerns to contact him first.
Luvachicken
So glad you have finally got your girls Have they laid you any eggs yet ?
PixieDust
No eggs laid as yet. Poultry bloke said it sounds like stress but if she doesn't improve he will exchange her. He knows I will worm them. I will not be naming them til I know the coup. I know if I have to return her that she will be culled so to make it easier I will not name them for the minute. She is so pretty so I hope she pulls through.
Mars
No eggs laid as yet. . I don't give names to my hens, They aren't pets. I don't talk about them day and night. but I do give them a few weeks before I decide I don't need them because they aren't laying.

Sorry Mars, dont really understand the point you are trying to make here Hope its not a criticism of another poultry keeper who has only had her hens a few days. Ax You are right, I was tired and exhausted after long hours at work, too tired to sleep and looking for "unwind" I didn't read the previous posts, I thought she bought the hens and she wanted to return one of them to the breeder because after three days she didn't lay any eggs , so straight to the keyboard and there we go. the good news is I slept after that.
