Martin B
Hi, I've just had an email from somebody who would like to buy some of my quail eggs off ebay. One problem is that they are in Malta. Is it still forbidden to send eggs abroad like it was during February? I have no idea, the bird flu thing has gone very quiet. Do you think I should contact DEFRA? Any ideas. Cinnamon
Not sure on the legalities Martin, although I know there are restrictions on bring foods home when you go on holiday so............... But I wouldn't go there anyhow. Packaging them safely will be a nightmare - I would simply say no, thank you
starboyhull
Is Malta in the EU??? Our radio station here keeps on and on about food stuffs from abroad and it says its banned from outside the EU...... If its in the EU I think its okay, outside its not..... I would check though, as they will just get stopped and then never get there......
feemcg
I've noticed on ebay, Martin, that some of ther egg sellers have feedback comments in German, Spanish, Dutch etc. so I presume eggs are being sent abroad - not sure about 'legal' issues though.
