Grandmashazzie
I suppose this should be in WIR but more seem to read Nesting Box.The usual dilemma how to Foxy out.I would love an avairy type garden feature, very big for girls and some ducks in spring.I can't seem to find a decorative one, pref metal.I did come across some specialist fencing designed for cat owners who wish to stop their cats roaming. It appears to curve inwards and feel very unstable so cat does not climb over.Has anyone experience of this?Would it deter. Fox climbing in.Am unsure of electrified with dog, also hoping for spring puppies .And of course usually a couple of pre school foster children.I don't fancy explaining to social worker if they get a shock.I am presuming you do if it is touched. Cinnamon
My Husband built our run with a small wall at the base, & therefore foundations, which will stop anything from digging in. It has worked so far! I don't think you will fins decorative metal panels that will be strong enough. We made our own, & used welded mesh. You can pretty it up by painting the wooden bits (although we haven't) & putting hanging baskets up. This is mine. We have huge hanging baskets on it during the summer. Cinnamon
Ours it that shape by default really - we had a swimming pool there originally, but it was never used. The little bit on the side is where any guest hens go & where my new hens go when I am introducing them to the main flock It all looks rather more tired now - the photo is about 5 years old, but its still very sound in structure. Go for build quality over prettiness any time - it can be made to look nice later!
Guest
I can't post photos (mostly because my photos are on my old laptop) but I have a wood and weldmesh run (Avaries4u). I pimped it up with some pretty woodshades colours, hung little weatherproof signs and bunting on the run so it looks pretty. The addition of planters around the base and it looks lovely. I am completely not talking to Cinnamon for having the most glorious run I have ever seen.

Grandmashazzie
Mrs B I have a 5 by 2 1/2 metre run from Flyte so Fancy that we got 2 years ago.It is in the garden at the side.I can't see the girlies as I would like and have seen Mr Fox sauntering by at 10 am,pretending he didn't see the chicken run.I am imagining a Victorian bandstand design, and prob that is as far as it will get, imagination.I think to get a decent size will be far too dear. Guest
If you are happy with your current run but just want to tart it up how about building a gazebo structure around the run?
