I knew all along he would pick them. they dont deserve it. I didnt see ANY passion in them!
Guest
What a shock She was going to cry when she went in and must have realised that they were looking for a strong couple, so didn't In the summing up they were completely opposite of what Raymond wanted
Richard T
Henny Penny says, "I don't believe it." She's calling M Blanc all kinds of names and is weeping - but I'm not going to put my arm around her.
Helen&Lee
Aaaarrggghhhhhhhh! What a fix! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who missed the passion that Jeremy and the weeper have for the restaurant Such a pity - i actually thought the twins did quite well in France! Guest
Again, all through the programme they never once showed Jeremy under pressure or doing anything wrong They never showed either of them telling thje staff what to do, the twins did this a lot and they attempted it in french
chelsea
they did everything wrong - didnt make lists, struggled setting up the french restaurant/menu's/flyers etc, their 8 course menu - some people waited 1 hour 20 minutes for food, she cries and he's smarmy. twins - friendly, organised, made lists, planned menu's, organised entertainment, cooked more covers, coped better under pressure, a lovely restaurant atmosphere. one of the judges said the twins were "consistently good". I knew at that point when they were saying good things about the twins they would give it to Jeremy and Jane.
Egluntyne
Hmmmm. I give the partnership 6 months tops.....and the marriage not much more. What a pair of wets. I am really surprised......I thought the twins were sooooo much better in the final challenge. I thought they were delightful, and made so much more effort in every way. Jeremy seems to be three farthings short of a shilling to me......the way he wandered around the market totally cluelessly had me shouting at the telly. And as for her...she really needs to get a grip. All that snivelling. Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhh! And what are those annoying tufts of "sideboard" hair all about, when his head and beard are shaven. I think it went the way we all thought it would - it made a mockery of the whole thing really I am disappointed in Raymond - I always thought he was better than this, I've always respected him I'd only give them 6 months as well
buffie
Not much more to add but she is also pregnant (watched the extra prog on BBC3) so goodness knows It'll be an emotional roller coaster and I wouldn't want to book a table BBx
Rhapsody
Blimey is Raymond seriously gong into business with those two? He'll 'roux' the day!! I really wanted the twins to win BTW didnt anyone else find it appauling that 4 seemingly well-educated fairly intelligent people didnt have a sentence of French between them? When I lived in Germany the bloke who came to read the water meter spoke 3 languages!
Lesley
I was annoyed by that as well - and the twins tried really hard, and spoke to their staff in French. The whingers have just been on BBC Breakfast......... and RB actually said he must explain about the tears........... ""they are always in private, never in front of camera" Where has the man been living for the last 10 weeks?
WitchHazel
I was out so had to record it, and i forgot to record the "Your Fried". I think the Twins did really well and should have won. I also thought that Raymond did sum up one thing reallly well: he said he thought they would be very happy running their concept as a cafe with their friends. He didn't mean it nastily, and I think it was very perceptive. I could really see the Twins doing that, and doing it really well. I suspect Jermeny had some coaching from someone, as I noticed in thks program he AT LAST did put his arm around his sobbing wife, and he did try and be supportive (well, when she was blubbing her eyes out 1 hour before they opened, not so much in the market); plus he also said he was making mistakes, he was a numpty, etc. Maybe Jeremy and Jane had to win. After all, she was a trainee teacher, and I can't see her habving much credibility in front of a classroom of kids now. I can just see the kids all pretend-bawling at her!, or trying to get her to cry. I think getting pregnant may be Jane's way of coping with the stress. She will have an excuse for crying all the time ("hormones"), and can opt our hen it gts too much and not opt back in until its all up and running. If the Twins had won, I'[d go along to their new restaurant to have a look; I don't see me bothering with Jeremy and Jane. Oh well, it was an interesting ride. The Dogmother
I reckon that he'll do a deal with the twins too and set them up in business. There'll be a few spin-off series from this one!
Egluntyne
It is the idea of eight courses that bothers me.....apart from their woeful inadequacies. I mean....how greedy must you be to eat EIGHT Courses. Mind you, with their poor time management, there soes seem to be over an hour between them, so you'd me there for HOURS! Eight courses flies in the face of all the received wisdom about careful eating I would say. It is the gastronomic equivalent of binge drinking. And how ironic that many thought Raymond would not go into business with Grant and Laura because of her pregnancy. She has now had a second daughter, just a few days ago.....whereas Jane...... Guest
I don't think that the 8 courses are full sized portions, it's like 8 'mini' courses, half-sized portions, which makes the wait of an hour and a half between courses even worse! WitchHazel
I I mean....how greedy must you be to eat EIGHT Courses. : Onje of the problems with their concept is that the portions were absolutely tiny, and that is one of the complaints they kept getting (in addition to service being too slow). I've been to a restaurant (Colleys Supper Rooms in Reading) which specialiss in seven courses, and it's excellent. There is only one seating, so everyone arrives and the meal starts for everyone at the same time. It's just a question of how you do it. (in my best Stephen Fry impersonation) You couldn't tell that it wasn't him! Very good Rhapsody! One thing that occurred to me was that Raymond was such a gentleman. None of the "Effing" and abuse that some of the other celebrity chefs feel is expected of them. I found that a refreshing change.

Krysia
I too can't believe they won and feel very sorry for their baby. My sister in law txt me as it finished saying OMG, the crying one won! There isn't much more to say really is there. Also I would go to the twins restaurant but never to theirs. Regards the 8 course thing being greedy I am from a Polish background and we have a 12 course xmas dinner on xmas eve. They are really small portions and symbolise the 12 disciples. I do this every year not daily that would be ridiculous! I think their concept was a good one for special occasions if only they could have actually pulled it off!)
