Does anybody have any recommendations for a good online florist please? I like to send flowers from time to time to my Mum, and so far she has had quite a few average to poor bouquets, which is obviously not the desired outcome

Can't you find a local florist to her home? If I want to send flowers to someone, I try to find a florist close to the person. Often the delivery charge is then peanuts.

But I'm in the Netherlands with a florist on every corner...

I sent some to my lovely Mother In Law, who loved them so much she phoned to say they were the best flowers she has ever received.

I used this company recently as wanted the flowers to be delivered without the person having to be at home. I also needed to make sure that there were no lillies that were toxic to cats in the bouquet! https://www.bloomandwild.com/. I don't however know how good the flowers were as it was not appropriate to ask the recipients

Yes, I have done that in the past, but unfortunately the florist closed (she lives in a village). I guess I could look further afield, but TBH I prefer doing it online as it suits me for quickness and ease as I'm overseas.

I always use bunches.co.uk ...always been happy and like the ethical side and you can claim posy points and get money off.....

I have used Serenata flowers a few time for my mum and mum in law, they seemed happy with what they received.

I recall receiving flowers (albeit many years ago as I have a VERY unromantic OH and these were not from him anyway ) from The Channel Islands...they were lovely.

 

I have to admit that, were OH to give me flowers now I'd wonder what he was up to !!!!

I have used Serenata a few times too. I was told that the flowers were lovely. Serenata are very good at keeping you informed about the delivery process - email on despatch and email on delivery. They are delivered by courier, so you need to tell them where to deliver if the recipient is out. I thought the prices were very good too.
