The Dogmother
Now, I'm not one for small dogs generally, but friends have a lovely Norjack terrier with the most wonderful temperament; 6 weeks ago she had 5 poopies... they were like tiny, fat guinea pigs. Mum is very chilled about them being handled, and the ickle ones are getting very well socialised Now they have legs and smell divine; 4 boys and one girl. Needless to say, I have been over there to check each of them over: Puppy breath.... TICK Ears that smell of Weetabix..... TICK Paws that smell of popcorn... TICK Nasty velcro claws... TICK I could have brought all of them home! They were all jumping up for hugs!
Snowy
They are so cute! Such a shame they grow up so quickly though. Skye seemed to be a poopy for all of 5 minutes before turning into a big smelly hound!
The Dogmother
They can now see that 3 of them will have rough coats, while 2 are smoother. The Black and ginger lad is like a tiny Rottie with that colouring.
Groovychook
Awww puppies I've never heard of Norjack's before... they look very cute. I haven't stroked a puppy for a very long time... so jealous
The Dogmother
A Norjak is a Norfolk Terrier crossed with a Jack Russell.... a mongrel in other words Good working breed, less yappy than a JRT, and more gentle of nature. Groovychook
I thought they looked a bit familiar but I've never come across that combo before! I'm partial to anything with a bit of JR in it though... naughty but nice in my book
Grandmashazzie
Very cute.It is amazing all these crosses,Pugles, Labradoodles etc etc I always have a laugh when I look at them on Gumtree asking 3 or 4 hundred quid for what was in my day a mongrel, that you were lucky if you got agood home for. Not that there is a thing wrong with mongrels. Probably much more healthy.
The Dogmother
By definition, lurchers are mongrels or crossbreeds - bred for purpose, and they hardly ever ail.
