Warm boot recommendations please

Well, after a tearful (from me) first day yesterday, we've had an explosive second morning today. Caitlin decided, as we got to her classroom, that school just wasn't the way forward, and that she'd just go home, thankyou very much. She had the most enormous screaming tantrum, complete with tears and foot stomping, and the last I saw of her, she was being carried into the classroom by one of the TA's, screaming, "I WANT MY MUMMEEEEEEEEEEE!", with a beetroot face.

Oh no Shona! How is she now she's home?

 

I shouldn't have read this - middle son Daniel starts school for the first time next Thursday I'm dreading his reaction. One minute he's saying he wants to go, then he changes his mind and says he wants to stop at home. Must remember tissues (and dark glasses )

Oh Shona it will get better..............I remember this happening with Tom he thought he only had to go for one day and had a massive tantrum when he realised he had to go every day, but once he made some friends he was fine.

I hope she settled in and enjoyed her second day, and that you were able to relax a bit after the mornings trauma!!

 

My little'un starts in the school's nursery class in two weeks time which is going to feel really strange. I'll feel !!

Good luck for today Chookie. I'm sure yesterday was just a temporary blip.
