I am really struggling with more hens at the moment.

I've just found out (by accidentally searching for bantams on preloved.com :whistle: ) that a breeder less than ten miles from me has POL araucana bantams for sale. I REALLY want blue eggs (also really want dark brown but can't find maran bantams) and would love a couple of little newbies.

BUT - I'd have to get a Cube which I can't really afford, and don't want to upset the delicate pecking order balance among my four and would be gutted if I did. So why am I still planning how I could do it?!

Will someone please talk some sense into me :roll::?

So why am I still planning how I could do it?!

Because you know you want them really :lol:

I think the only cure is to get some more and a lovely little cube too.

Put the old girls in the new cube and give the new babies your GO with their own run.

Towards the end of Summer let them start mixing together for a few hours a day, then as the days get shorter put them together for longer. By the time they are properly integrated they won't have enough daylight to argue with each other and by the following Spring they will be all happy and dandy :D

Simple :lol::lol:

Sorry I haven't helped in any way at all.

No luvachicken that really doesn't help because that is exactly what i would like to do!

Maybe I'll have a look just in case I can pick up a cheap cube somewhere... :whistle:

Sorry :(

I will be strong now and say " NO mullethunter !!!!! Do not buy any more chickens !!!! Satisfy your hunger for blue eggs by getting them from a posh farm shop "
