L Marques
Hi it's been a while my chicken have started laying eggs again,I do not know which one though,I've got three, they are little bantams,I could not believe my eyes this morning when I saw the tiny egg,it's the size of a 50p coin. And next to it a normal size egg for a bantam.
Cat tails
One of my bantams made me an egg the size of a little chocolate easter egg... miniscule... It was also probably the last egg she has since given me.
Luvachicken
I think these are called wind eggs. They only usually contain egg white
Lewis
Yeah, usually called a wind egg and nothing to worry about. As luvachicken says they only contain egg white.
The Dogmother
Wind eggs... witches' eggs... cock eggs... various names Caused when some grit or a foreign body gets in the oviduct and an egg si formed around it. They usually have a bit of grit or similar in them, the shell and membrane are both very tough, and the white is almost gelatinous. My Rosie used to call them Malteser Eggs.
