Luvachicken Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 Someone was up at 4.30 am today clucking like mad so I got up to find Tilly calling for all her friends who were still in bed. All was well until I got home from work after lunch and went to get the eggs to find Tilly had died in the nest box. She was all curled up with her head tucked in and looked very peacful. I couldn't find anything wrong with her at all but wonder if it was my fault as I had powdered them all with DE last night and wondered if I had put too much on her ? More than once we've had a chicken act out of character before passing away soon after - I swear they know when their time has come and they handle it with so much dignity.
