Leicester_H
Hi We have a quarterly lawn treatment (feed etc). When they came last time they wanted to apply moss killer. I asked if they guaranteed that it was safe for hens. The young man didn't know, phoned boss / head office who told him no - so he didn't apply it. Today, someone from the company phoned to see what OH wanted doing, offering moss killer. He said it was completely safe for hens (after a few hours). Anyone know anything about this - anything with killer in the name sounds iffy to me! H
Grandmashazzie
Our lawn treatment man assured me his treatment stuff was safe for dogs and chickens from next day. But I didn't risk it and just let him treat front garden where the animals don't go. Like you I thought if it kills weeds, moss etc I don't want my pets eating it. sarahjayne
We have Green Thumb treat our lawn quarterly. They said 2 weeks for all treatments for grazing animals which they classed chickens as.
Love Hens
My backyard chicken picked a few of the moss killer I sprayed on teh lawn. Is that dangerouse for their health?
Cat tails
Have a look on the packaging to check for hazard symbols. But best to keep any animals away from any pesticides or herbicides.
