Yes, I think you do need to cut her claws Mullethunter. Perhaps a quarter off, maybe a third. She needs to be able to put her toe down flat, rather than twisting to the side. Sure there are plenty of posts about this process and you will know that cutting too much off will cause heavy bleeding so you need to be careful.

I used cat clippers once. Worked fine, but wouldn't do it again unless I had something at hand to stop the bleeding. Think you have stuff for dogs. Luckily cat nails are translucent and you don't really run the risk of cutting into the life part.
