I can't believe we'll have 11, hoped for a few ex batteries but I missed the boat and they had gone, great they all had homes of course. I want to bring my girls out myself so we'll get them at a rescue some time. :D

That would be wonderful, to actually rescue the girls you then take home, and watch them settle in and thrive :D

ooooo how fantastic is that??? Lucky you!

Mind you looking at my garden today - I've noticed I can now fit in another cube!!! We've done some clearing in ' frog' area & I will now walk round there. So no reason for me not to get another cube! Well apart from the cash of course!

Can't wait to see your piccy's of the newbies!

Brilliant news Buff, full sized or banties?

Can't wait to see them. :D

Full sized Clare and your RIR did inspire the decision  I have always wnanted one and my dad kept saying "we had a RIR", so you can't have just one and ...well now have 3 coming.

Mikey is now not sure why he didn't want more and is fully behind it.... :shock:8):D

Result!

You can't just have one... I aspire to this reaction from OH

What a good choice, I have 2 of those breeds 8) Would love to see pictures. My RIR is not the best bred and has grey "smutting" under the feathers, according to Practical Poultry it should be chestnut "fluff" under the feathers. She's quite fat and it's funny to watch her run. The Welsummer is a bit neurotic though  gorgeous looking and very soft and cuddly.
