MaggieMcHen
Hi all, Does anyone else have the issue I am having with my hens. The nest box is big enough for at least two hens to sit and lay at the same time but they all lay in the same bit at different times - cueing up to go in if necessary. I think it is because the nest box has no divider and only one entrance hole. Has anyone else felt the need for and come up with a natty divider, which still leaves the hens access perhaps they would prefer it without the port hole but with a divider? Any thoughts anyone? MaggieMcHen
I've removed the porthole piece to see what happens....................we still have a queueing system. I feel I shall have to issue numbered tickets soon. I only have 3 or 4 laying at the moment what on earth will it be like when all 6 are laying. redfrock
I wouldn't worry too much about the privacy thing ....in the eglu I often find two in each nest box, top to tail, and the other day they somehow managed to get 3 squeezed in although that did seem a bit more of a bums in heads out job Oh to have a cube ......
