The Dogmother
I'm sure you know this and have talked to her about it, but the atmosphere and 'set of rules' at a venue is quite different from at a gig. Keep your drink covered Don't accept a drink from anyone you don't know Don't go to the loo on your own Beware of any 'sweets' offered around. I'm sure that she's sensible and well aware of how to behave, but I'd be worried too if I were you; it's only natural.

The Dogmother
DON'T!!! If she's anything like I was, then she'll be unmanageable At least I have the experience (that my folks didn't have) to offer. At the moment, she's a total prude and very anti-drinks & drugs, which I am encourgaing before her hormones kick in! She already wants to come to the Global Gathering with us next year . Me too, and to make it worse my dad spent most of his life in the army as a regimental sgt major v.bossy he was Weirdly though I had loads of freedom probably because it would never have crossed my parents minds that I would take drugs, have sex or drink too much also times were different when I were a lass back in the early 60's. I went to the CND Aldermarston March, on my own aged 13, told my parents it was a religious rally, what did they know When I had my own children I vowed that they would have a completely different upbringing than my own, I decided to try and say "Yes" rather than "no Way" to everything.....BIG mistake, they both went spectacularly off the rails, drugs, very petty crime, staying out all night, disappearing for days on end, truanting the list goes on...teenagers need boundaries, something to rebel against I guess. You all sound like you have the right idea, granting freedom but with lots of safety provisions built in Tessa
