Unbelievable !! I live not a million miles away and we can hear the cockerals in the pets corner down the road and so can everyone else on the road! They are owned by the council so woe betied if the council ask me to get rid of my girls. It can be a problem living in rented accomodation though it would seem.............

Ridiculous, but she chose her words rather unfortunately when she said "We've nowhere else to go. It is just so absurd that the association are running round like headless chickens over this."

 

You'd think in view of her disability that they'd cut her a bit of slack.

I ended up registering so I could add a supportive comment. If all the comments are anti, then the council will think everyone supports them.

I have just read another story about this chicken on the bbc news, apparently the chicken is kept in a bedroom and poos on sawdust,!!, and is heard to keep pecking the walls??,

I fail to see the difference in keeping a chicken as a pet than any other pet. If she had a budgie or a noisy cockatiel in a cage would they tell her to get rid of them? Probably not. I hope she replaces her friend with a great big dog and trains it to bark at bed time and at the crack of dawn. Then she should get a couple of moggies and train them to pooh only in neighbours gardens.

 

Poor lady and poor chook.

 

There as so many small minded, heartless people around and many of then in positions of authority it makes me cross.
