Ain't Nobody Here
or once you have chickens, do they seem to be mentioned everywhere? On Steve Wright this afternoon (within 10 minutes) there was: 1. a factoid about the furthest a chicken has ever flown (about 300 ft in 13 secs, I think) 2. a song called "Do the Funky Chicken" by Rufus Thomas 3. a mention for someone's husband in Norfolk who makes hen houses. They're everywhere! (Perhaps they're planning a coup - geddit, coop/coup - sorry, I'm just getting carried away now )

Egluntyne
I am always looking for mugs with hens pictures on. Quirky modern ones though...I don't like 19th century art type ones.
superjules
I saw an eglu on TV on 11th Sept. It was on a BBC3 prog called Outrageous Wasters, where "eco-experts transform Britain's most wasteful households and force them to face up to the impact of their wasteful ways". Only caught the last 10 mins of it but saw the Eglu a few times and very excitedly pointed it out to DH who is not at all interested in all this chicken malarky and had heard about nothing else for the previous month from yours truly . We got our own eglu 2 days later!! Got to get some of those homebase terracotta chickens now!
kirbyhouse
Good isnt it? My daughter went to Eurodisney and bought me back a little glass chicken with some chicks. This morning I won an auction on ebay for a house plaque that says 'Beware of the Chicken'! You can get carried away but I can think of worse things to do! Have a good weekend all. I saw that too, it was pink as well and also they had a close up of the egg box so people could see that it wsa omlet if they wanted one, amasing advertising!
