Luvachicken
In these times of being shut in, your mind starts to wander and mine started to wonder about some chicken harnesses I saw ages ago on Amazon. You can strap your chicken in and take it for a walk. Does anyone do this ? If I had them, I wouldn't take my girls for a walk but maybe they could potter round my garden with me for a few minutes ? I don't think my garden is safe enough for them to be in it all the time. Please help me stop wandering / wondering xx
mullethunter
Not sure what to say Luvachicken! As ridiculous as it sounds I suppose it could actually work for a potter around the garden!
Luvachicken
I've also thought about getting an invisible dog My wanderings are making me go a bit bonkers. Hubby said he wouldn't walk with me if I got one of them. I couldn't believe you could even still buy them. Only people of a certain age will know what I am talking about.

When I was kid, my dad and me would just take a leash on a walk and call to a non existing dog. When people would ask us what the dog looked like, we would describe either something the size of a guinea pig or a hippo! 😂
chickenNutter
I can't imagine that chickens would like this, seems unnecessary to me. Another US invention like chicken nappies?
Lewis
I think things like these and the high vis jackets from Omlet have a comedy value and I see some use with parrots when learning to free fly but not really with chickens. I think they'd much prefer it if they could free range with you present, if you think the garden is unsafe, rather than on a lead!
Luvachicken
Don't worry, I haven't bought the harnesses or an invisible dog. Thank you for all your thoughts on them though. I will save my money for when all this is over and top up my supply of Pekins instead 😊
