Mrs Nesbitt
Wondered what everyone was talking about on here when they described 'crouching', but when they do it, it all makes sense don't it??! Mrs Nesbitt starting doing it last week and hey presto there was an egg in the nest box when I got home from work today. It's a very small (30g) but perfectly formed blue egg, yippeeeee........ Now the arguments about who's going to get to eat it will start.....

Ain't Nobody Here
Congratulations! We got our first this week too - it's exciting isn't it?! You feel like you've brought up your "baby" successfully! We fried it and had one mouthful each (42g doesn't go far ) That was Tuesday and there's not been another one yet - is that normal? I was expecting one a day from now on .
Louise
Did you do the 'egg dance' Vicki, it may be a few weeks before you start getting them daily as it takes a while for them to adjust to full production so don't worry if they are a bit intermittent for a while
Ain't Nobody Here
Thanks Louise. (I don't think I can stand the anticipation each day - egg/no egg? ) (I did the egg dance - and shrieked - until I remembered that the neighbours on one side don't know about the hens yet! )
