Jean T
We went to put our free range hens back in their coop and run tonight, and found one of our black tail hybrid had what looks like her wing ripped off. We have searched the garden and there are no feathers anywhere, so I don't think this could be a fox or one of the other hens. Could a bird of prey have attempted to fly off with her and pulled off her wing? We heard no commotion from the hens, and we do have buzzards around us. please help. Cat tails
I hope you have sorted it out by now. We have some issues with first posts of new members. Not sure what could have caused it. Hope you took her to a vet?
mullethunter
Did she survive Jean? I guess it could have been a bird of prey but I would’ve thought it’s more likely to have been a mammal - it would take an awful lot of force to rip off a whole wing - poor girl 😞
