JMS
Hi everyone, I'm after some advice for 1 of my faverolles. Unfortunately she was affected by the dreaded depluming mite couple of months ago. I've dealt with the mite issue but the poor hen was in the middle of her annual moult, this in turn has resulted in her 'new' plumage being very threadbare 😞. I'm now really worried about her with the temperature heading downwards. Can anyone offer advice on whether I should bring her inside & if so what temperature can a chicken affected by feather loss sustain? I don't want to separate her from the rest of the flock unnecessarily but am worried about her health. Any advice would be welcome & thanks in advance. Cat tails
Think you will need to keep the coop closed at night. As long as she can huddle with the others for warmth at night, she’ll be fine then. Can you make sure there a places in their run that are very sheltered? So both rain and wind proof? Think that will help her along too. And otherwise you need to get crafting! 😂https://thewhoot.com/crochet/chicken-sweater-crochet-patterns

I see there is also a knitting pattern for them.
