Bit of bumpf: On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future. Get to it Peeps! Egluntyne
Oh my word....It is months since I last blogged. I've forgotten most of what has happened since I last visited it! Fab idea though. Am on the case.

Guest
I wonder if this is why Jules'school is having an Environmental Day today?
Tina C
Whoops - don't have a blog! Did have a conversation about composting this morning though and did some research on HBOS' (bank) carbon neutral status and environmental actions - does that count? The Dogmother
It sure does Tina - every little change that we can make at a personal level can help - it all adds up. Try starting a conversation with your friends about some aspect of the environment. As Gandhi said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world" and "...world is but a mirror reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another." Start at home with small changes, then have a good rant at others about it too - makes you feel tons better Here's one to ponder over... The Dogmother
Good for you Sarah . I am amazed that they don't do recycling at the girls' school - schools have someone who comes round from WRAP and advises them on how they can be more environmentally friendly. Rosie's school recycle, have water savers in the cisterns and have composts and wormeries, which they get at discount. I look down our road and am shocked at the number of rubbish bins out that have recycleable stuff in them. makes me want to knock on their door and introduce them to the real world
Cinnamon
I know, it makes me mad when I see all the recyclable rubbish outside houses. Our 82 year old neaighbour, who is very immobile manages to recycle a box of stuff every week, so I don't think anyone else has an excuse. Schools should all have recycling centres & compost areas for waste. Its all about education, & what better place to start education about recycling than at school? Snowy
Thanks for the reminder - will get onto it! Snowey, if you have a look at mine, you may just see something you recognise Noooooo! I can't see the pictures!! Neither of my PCs will load pictures from Vox blogs for some obscure reason. I'll check it at work on Thursday - for some reason they load OK there

Snowy
Very good Martin - I do agree with your rant about the bags, I've seen it myself! (But so pleased you put in that little bit about my bags - thanks Hon! ) Although I STILL couldn't see the pictures! I've done mine, it's very feeble compared to all yours, but I've plugged the battery hen issue. Does that count as an environmental issue??
