Mrs Frugal
Perhaps we all ought to post how much we've put on rather than lost in this thread for a while ! On second thoughts......better not !
Lesley
My scales are no good - they weigh 3stone heavy
Guest
I've no idea. I only know I have put on a stone since last January! That seems to be my idea of stability - gaining a pound a month!
Mrs Frugal
Sounds just like me Ginette. I've given up weighing myself and am just accepting the inevitable!
Linda
I'm sure I've told everyone this already, but a few years ago my hairdresser said I've got heavy hair. I happily accepted that!!
Snowy
Oh great - I've also been told that I have heavy hair! Brilliant, and there's me been trying to lose weight! Might as well forget it now - it's obviously just my hair. (mind you, it must be very heavy then as it's only 1" long )

theherd123
Sorry Linda it does seem a little doesnt it!!! Kate will know what i mean!!! I got my gloves caught on my earring at the Jimmys do and Kate came to my rescue however i have done it 3 times since then so i attribute my weight gain to all the gloves attached to my earrings - random i know but my only excuse is that its been a LONG day at work! Guest
I have heavy hair too, but possibly not quite that heavy! The trouble is I lost a lot of weight 5 years ago on a low-carb diet. I was really slim, loved it, went to Barn Dances again etc. But the months of cutting out food pleasures took their toll and I became a terrible binger. I think now that I am much better but it's taken 5 years to get rid of the bingeing. I don't exercise much and I don't eat properly, so end up grabbing something quick and easy. That's also the result of not eating the same as everyone else because I'm the only vegetarian or because I was on a diet. So my food is always different and comes after I have made everyone else's, when I am too tired to bother. I always have a healthy breakfast (apple, soya yoghurt and linseed) because OH makes it for me before he goes to work! How spoilt am I? theherd123
Ginette when i met the OH he was a meat eater and the cook so as a vegetarian it was a nightmare to do two meals so i can relate to your situation a little. Thankfully he decided to go vegy too and things became much easier Do you make similar meals for your family & yourself? For example you do all have a pasta dish but yours is without meat or are they completely different? Have you tried converting them
Mrs Frugal
Em, it's definitely the gloves ! They were very heavy!
Paola
I cannot believe I only put on 2lb over christmas I have managed to get rid of one of those this week I try to eat quorn instead of meat (because it is so low in fat) but it gives OH terrible wind I am off skiing at the end of the week, so I hope to burn off a few pounds on the slopes I cannot wait

For example you do all have a pasta dish but yours is without meat or are they completely different? Have you tried converting them We try to eat mostly vegetarian during the week and have meat on Sundays. If I'm organised I will probably have fish then (not vegetarian I know). But tonight we had sausages and I didn't have any Quorn ones in the freezer, so I just had mashed potatoes and baked beans - couldn't think of anything else as I had an egg for lunch. Now I'm not really satisfied - not hungry really - but just want something nice. I love salads that you get in restaurants like Goat's cheese salad, but don't seem to be able to make them myself. It's too much effort and I don't seem to have enough ingredients/ideas! I can do it for other people, but not for me. Or half a goat's cheese doesn't seem enough so I put a bit more on. Then there's only a little left, so I eat that as well. Then the half for another day is completely gone! I'm being a bit more open and honest here than I usually am. In fact I don't talk about my bad eating habits or my weight to anyone. This is scaring me and I'm tempted to delete this before posting! But I'm not going to because I believe I can't be the only person like this and I also want to change. I like healthy food and enjoy it, so why do I always end up with cheese on toast?
