AMO
When we got our 2 ex-bats we set up a seperate run with a little wooden house for them so they could get use to space, noise etc. After two weeks we started letting them free-range with our two original hens and after a few flare ups they sorted themselves out and seem to be getting on fine. With the nights being cold, we started putting the ex-bats into the Eglu run so they could sleep with the other two for warmth. During the day we put them back in the spare run so they all have a bit more space. They were all getting a bit confused at dusk so we were having to close the spare pen and coaxing them all into the Egglu run. Well, last night, for the first time, they all took themselves off to bed in the Egglu - even with the spare run still being open. They looked so sweet and content when I went to close the Egglu door I went all gooey and warm!! Who says hens can't be trained!!!
