Guest Posted November 26, 2007 Share Posted November 26, 2007 I think the problem is, they can get away with it, because they've not actually fixed the public vote. The agreement between the judges seems to have been to let it go to the public vote from the start on Saturday night, probably to add a bit more excitment to the proceedings, given that, going by the betting sites, Beverly and Hope were widely expected to be in the bottom two this week. As far as I know, the judges vote at the end has now finished, and the act with the least votes will leave the compition each week now, instead of the bottom two going into a sing-off. Guest Posted November 26, 2007 Share Posted November 26, 2007 Beverly is a strange one - she started out the live shows, and blew me away - she was absolutely fantastic! But then, as the weeks have gone by, she seems to have got slowy worse each week. She 'peaked' a few weeks too early, sadly, whereas Leon, bless him, started off terribly - you could see the corners of his mouth shaking as he sang the first two live shows, but as he gains in confidence, his performances improve. I thought Leon was a totally different person this week, really good. Same Difference were still good. I know people don't like them but they are perfect for their market and work so hard. Niki is trying to look & act as if she is 21 again - don't like. Leon was good for the 1st time on Saturday - very good infact. Same difference just remind me of some American children that are wrapped up in a religious cult - don't know why! They are just a bit erm strange. But appeal to youngsters. Rhydian to win! I'll be gutted if he doesn't! I know he is From Wales, but his accent reminds me of a German person speaking English. I thought Leon was a totally different person this week, really good. I dont like Niki either - she seems to have got very bigheaded and she had a few bum notes on Saturday night. Leon has an amazing voice, just not the confidence - shame for the poor lad - I think he will get pipped to the final by niki. (niki and rhydian in the final) This weeks bottom 2 will be Hope and Same difference, I cant stand hope - there is one good singer and the rest of them just "ooooh" and "ahhh" and flash of their assets . Amongst the songs tonight will be three Queen songs and a spice girls song(I'll not say who's singing what, or cinammon will be round to bash me.... ), and as far as know, there is no longer a 'bottom two' in the sing off, and it is entirely down to the public vote now. (they make me smile though - I was dancing in my pyjamas to wake me up before you go go !!!) Leon is getting better and better and he has a winning smile. They are too gimmicky and have to rely too much on cute props. As Sharon said....all they need now are some puppies and a bubble machine. I find their touchy feely relationship, their avid eagerness, grinning and head nodding aggravating to say the least. My son's opinion on their odd relationship is interesting...but not for publication on a family forum. Their last song reminded me of the way "pop" songs were done on Crackerjack in the play they did at the end. Pathetic and gimmicky. I can't abide Louis ...but I have to agree with him about them.
