Cinnamon
I have found that since having the children I sleep in a different way now. I sleep lighter - listening out for any small noise.....ears on elastic! If anyone (well - not The Hubby) wakes & goes to the bathroom, I am up & worrying in case its a tummy upset or something. I often wake at 3am,then drop back off around 6,just in time for the alarms at 6.30 There is nothing like sleep deprevation to make you feel like hell - no wonder its used as a form of torture
Mel (& Paul)
5am start for us - doesnt half wake you up walking the dogs at 5.
Louise
That is part of it Sarah. The slightest thing wakes me and I always have an ear open for the cats etc. Someone up the road used to get milk delivered by a company who used an old 4X4 to deliver and he used to go screaming past in 2nd gear at 3.30 4am every morning and it wasn't just me he woke I tried speaking tohim and just got a mouthful of abuse thankfully that family have moved and that doesn't happen anymore The worst of that was I woke with a fright at the noise and never got used to it so I was awake and suffering an adrenaline rush which made things worse I am better than I used to be and for that I am grateful so I just go with the flow now
The Dogmother
I need loads of sleep, preferably early to bed too. I used to be able to go without sleep, but having a baby who didn't sleep for 3 years did something to my body clock and I really need it now. I also wake at the slightest sound. Popcorn
I often wake at 3am,then drop back off around 6,just in time for the alarms at 6.30 Oh yes...I had one of those nights last night. I woke up at 4am and lay awake for a while. I went to the loo, then clock watched until 6.00am. The alarm went off at 7 and I must have gone into a really deep sleep for an hour as I feel terrible today. Straight to bed for me when I get home. Very heavy eyes.... [/color] Oh dear Gina sorry for you having a bad night at least I know I am not alone Mind you last night I fell asleep with the TV on and was woken by a row on Big Brother and then again at 4am as one of the cats walked over me but got back to sleep and the rarity of being woken by the alarm Still feel tired though
Popcorn
Oh yes, I caught the tail end of that row on BB too. Pathectic wasn't it. And grown men too Just gone to the loo at work and I have developed dark circles. Can't wait to get home and put feet up, and the our cat is banned from the bedroom tonight. She always gets prime position and pinches all the covers Have you tried a relaxation CD Louise with a personal stereo? I will gladly burn you a copy of mine and send it up to you. It works for me, but you have to be a bit consistent with it. The more you use it the better relaxed you will be. Glad I wasn't alone in my sleepless plight
Louise
I wasn't watching BB Gina I had gone up to watch the second half of the dog trainer thing and dozed of but the shouting woke me so I switched it off I'm afraid I am so not a BB fan seems pretty pointless the first one yes because it was different but that's all. I have tried doing relaxation but it doesn't help there is too much going on in my head My cats have always taken liberties and at this time of the year there are 3 of them all taking liberties and stealing the heat
