CatsCube
My mum has a vegtable patch and I have offered to save all my poo for her (nice daughter that I am) . . although by my poo I mean my chickens, as I dont think she would appreciate mine. Anyway, I was just going to keep emptying out the poop trys on the cube into a suitabel lidded container till it was full than hand it over, but wondered if I sould be adding something else to this so its not just neat poo? I didnt want to sweep out all my wood chip base into it as that would take forever to decompose, so was just wondering about something else that will make it more of a mulchy soil like consistancy instead of just a big vat of wet poo. The Dogmother
You can add some Bokashi Bran as seen in the Omlet shop - that will help with the smell and decomposition. I use Hemcore or Aubiose in the poo trays and run - that composts really well and stops it all getting too wet.
Olly
If it's not already mixed with hemcore or aubiose, then you could add shredded paper to it. Depends a bit how wet it is, mine (my girls, that is! ) is usually quite dry and firm. You could feed your girls bokashi, then the poo would be firm and it should smell less, too. (I can't believe I've just written a whole post about poo!

jomaxsmith
I line the poo tray with a sheet of newspaper then lift it out and fold the poo inside it and put that straight in the compost bin. Newspaper is useful in the compost bin as it's 'browns' and helps stop the 'greens' going slimy. Not sure how it works in the Cube but you could possibly do the same. Richard
Shredded paper, torn up newspaper, tissues, veggie waste stuff (uncooked) from your kitchen, egg shells, hair (her indoors cuts my hair - whats left of it - and it goes in the compost), tea bags ......
