CatsCube
'So what did you do today Cat?' Well I sat out in the garden washing my chickens bum, You? Oh and then after that I poked and prodded at their poos, and looked up information on chicken poo on the net. I feel I have developed an unhealthy obsession with chicken poo! Egluntyne
Well I sat out in the garden washing my chickens bum, You? Doesn't everyone do that on a Saturday afternoon?
Laura & CTB
Oh and then after that I poked and prodded at their poos, and looked up information on chicken poo on the net. Nothing wrong with that..................think how much you'll be able to share your new found information next time the family/friends pop round

xScrunchee
I think that you are lucky only becoming a complete weirdo since getting hens. I was one well before the girls arrived!!

CatsCube
hahaha Well I think most people will say Im weird anyway, but now I think they will be sending for the men in white coats. You know we ought to have a thread with pics of our chooks poos so we can see what means what. I want to know what wormy poo looks like, or other illnesses. Some of the poos I found yesterday were like pinky jelly I thought it had pooed out its intestine. Whats the deal with jelly poo??
Snowy
Not sure about the jelly poos, mine have one pinkish jelly poos occasionally too. I think it's just something they ate (just like what happens to you after eating heinz tomato soup! ) Try this thread for a pic of a wormy poo (scroll down to see pic) http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15216
CatsCube
Oh yeah I saw that before, that would scare me! I proded the jelly stuff to see if it moved. I cant say I have ever looked at my own poo in great detail, so dont know what happens if I have tomato soup. Althout several years of nappy changing is an eye opener, desicated coconut is amazing! Must admit I'm not a lover of Heinz tomato soup, but the kids love it and it has a fluorescent orange effect on their poo! And I remember those nappies well - my middle son loved raisins but I don't think he ever chewed them and they used to come out the other end all plump and juicy Must try the dessicated coconut ..... little chickadee
I warned my children what would happen after eating beetroot recently after being scared half to death one day while changing my son's nappy!!!
Ain't Nobody Here
Think I've read somewhere that they will do a poo every now and then that kind of clears something out of their system (an expert will confirm or deny, I'm sure). My OH seems to have difficulty digesting sweetcorn ... I'll say no more !
