feemcg
I love the Splash Cochin
Janty
The splash and the blue girls are both cochins. The splash cochin hatched on 25th May and the blue cochin hatched 22nd June. The cream hen with the brown feathers is a Merrydale Sweetie hybrid (from Merrydale Poultry in Leicester). These photos were taken in the good old days when they could free range. chelsea
thanks Janty, that would explain their size compared to my cochins, ours are about 2/3 months younger than yours. At least I can see what mine are going to get like. Yours arent laying yet are they? I know cochins are slow maturing but when do you expect yours to lay?
Janty
None of mine are laying...Won't expect anything until spring from the pure breeds. I had hoped that the hybrids might make the effort though.

Janty
Girls can come out on 10th I think. It looks as if the outer zone restrictions are being lifted earlier. Hens sound great...I don't know much about them though. Have you got any breeders in mind?
