Nasty company - makes those of us who work for good companies count ourselves lucky.

Yes, they are a particularly nasty company to work for - I would LOVE to name and shame them, but Chookiehubbie reckons that they have spys EVERYWHERE, and would just be causing myself more trouble!

One positive thing to come out of all this, is the decision I have made about my future, now that Caity is at nursery and I no longer have an excuse to spend the next 5 years at home! In my last (proper!) job, I was a manager, and was given a fair bit of personnel training, as we had to deal with most personnel matters ourselves. So I've decided to expand on that training and have signed up for a course in Personnel management and Human Resources. Once Caitlin starts school, I'll (hopefully!) have gained the qualifications I require to get a decent job again, as a NICE personnel manager, and ensurethat other people aren't treated as badly! Not that I'll be sticking with the company I work for just now......

I was going to suggest you looked for another job. They don't deserve you :!::!::!::!::!::!::!:

It was never going to be a permanant thing - I only took the job after I had Owen as I didn't want to go back to work full time, and wanted something with no stress or pressure, so I could enjoy the kids growing up and not worry about what was going on at work. HA! If only someone had warned me!

Shona,I am really pleased that something positive has come out of all of this :D

It must be nice to think that you can go on to bigger & better things!

I worked for a large company once & it was hellish.it was a childrens shop & I manned the information desk which was next to a fun slide for the children to use as an entrance to the shop.

Needless to say the parents abandoned the children to play there while they went shopping,& I was forever paging "little Timmys" mum to come & collect him. The noise did my head in,& I got virus after virus dealing with all those snotty noses

I left to manage a lovely Pine furniture shop & curios emporium in Henley which I LOVED :P u

AND I got some great furniture & ornaments out of it too :P:P

There is always something better around the corner, you just have to make yourself turn that corner.

Hi Shona

Sorry I missed your back to work post - I do hope that the meeting on Friday also went well, but I am THRILLED that you have decided to move onto bigger and better things - you are SO worth much more than your horrible company! Having had a shaky 2005 myself I am really trying to think of positive things that come out of bad things - and this is one of them for you! I am so pleased for you. And you know you have dozens of friends here on the forum just willing you on and supporting you in everything you do :D You go girl :D
