Ziggy
Just wanted to add my sympathies to everyone else's.... this is an awful thing to happen, and all the more so because it is done by someone evil, rather than an accident or a natural thing... I wish all humans were born with a sound sense of honesty and decency and unable to behave like those burglars did... I hope you and your family manage to get over this quickly and have a good christmas anyway...

Charlottechicken
So sorry to read this Fred, I was burgled just after Christmas about six years ago, so I imagine you are feeling incredibly angry right now Burglary makes me incandescent with rage, but I won't rant, and I won't repeat what I would like to do to burglars, but I hope you are still able to have some sort of Happy Christmas after all this, and am glad that you are all OK. An unfortunate reminder of the darker side of Christmas for all of us
Lesley
Sorry to hear that Fred - we were burgled just before Christmas when I was a teenager still at home. It does make you feel violated
Goosey Lucy
Sorry to hear your news Fred, I can sympathise as I was burgled the first time I went out of my house after a bunion operation had kept me house bound for almost 4 weeks. The stuff is often replaceable but the feeling of being violated and knowing that someone you didn't invite has been in your own home is sickening. Love and best wishes to you and your family. theherd123
I have just remembered that my friend was burgled a couple of months ago too. She was in bed at the time and the fella walked into her bedroom and woke her up with the noise he was making - she ran after him but he bolted out the back door taking her handbag, purse and laptop with him She was in a terrible state for weeks
Rona
I'm so sorry to hear your news Fred. there's no words to describe the sort of people who would do that, at least none that can be used on this site. I hope you and your family are able to be strong so that they don't ruin your Christmas.

Couperman
In a previous unhappy relationship (pre Cathy) we were burgled whilst in the house. They didn't take a great deal of anything important, but the fact they had been in the house whilst we were upstairs asleep was enough to freak me out. I didn't sleep properly for months. I am a big believer in what goes around comes around. In our case the toerags waited six weeks for us to replace the kit they had stolen (not just us but a few houses in the area) once the insurance had come through and then came back to do us again. The Police were aware of this tactic and were waiting. Didn't hear anything back though. Sorry to hear about it Fred, At least everyone is ok. ubereglu
So sorry to hear your news Fred. Just hope you'll have a good christmas otherwise. Burglars really are pathetic as they will eventually get caught and they will wonder why they did it.

You won't feel too cut off until you can get replacements. Anyone been caught yet?
