On our trip to Norfolk we went to see the chicken roundabout in Bungay. Apparently all the unwanted cockerels get dumped there when their owners bottle out of 'necking' them. It was pouring with rain, so not the best day for this, but the verges round this roundabout are loaded with cockerels, although on sunday they were more like what Phil termed 'a load of wet cocks under hedges' . We plan to go back in the summer, with some food for them, hopefully they won't look so forlorn then.
