Snowy
I dug mine out a few weeks ago to give the cooker splashback a good fettling! It still works really well!

CatieB
I am really pleased to see this thread as I have always wanted a steam cleaner but DH thinks it would be a waste of money and little used. So I can see all you fellow omleters that bought them in 2008.....so how many of you still use them and how often in all honesty..is it worth the purchase. The original post link isn't still there, was it the cylinder type cleaner or the little hand held one? Personally I've always hankered after a polti but at about £300 DH thinks I've fallen off my tree and been far too influenced by shop tv and the like which we usually watch for fun
Goosey Lucy
I have a handheld one I bought in Aldi and although i don't use it every day, I've found it invaluable for keeping my washing machine drawer clean. I also use it to clean my oven and for grimy tiles. I think it's a really useful gadget to have
AJuff
Can't wait to use it in the roosting bars, kitchen splashback, OHs pillow, DSs football boots. . I'm exited and it's notfor me! How sad is that? OH can was his car wheels as at no3 he uses a toothbrush! He can clean his beloved bike and the pots on the patio that are covered in mud off his bike. Can I do the wooden patio table? Endless uses .. . I hope or he'll moan it's another useless gadget!

Goosey Lucy
Ooh, washing machine drawer! I hadn't thought of that one what a good idea It works really well, I have a round-the-corner attachment so can stick the nozzle up the hole that the water comes in through, it stops it getting manky It also gets right to the back of the drawer slot so gets rid of any powder build up. I'm planning on using it on the windows in this new house, they are old sliding aluminium framed ones and are grim to say the least I love my steam cleaner
