Cinnamon
I am having a nightmare with this. Youngest daughter insists on wearing Ballet pumps for school. I bought her a pair in Schuh before Christmas, she has worn them for 2 weeks & they have literally fallen apart I am returning them today. Does anyone know if any shoe company makes a ballet pump type shoe which is more robust? Or else I am going to have to buy a pair a month at £30 a time She won't do Clarkes or Startrite......... apparantly no one wears those at Secondary school. I have tried Crocs Primas, but they were just the wrong shape for her foot........
Karen & co.
Quite a lot of girls where I work wear ballet pump type shoes, I'll ask them for you Infact my work shoes are ballet pumps they were from M&S, they can't be that bad, as one of my daughters friends has some too Karen x
Cinnamon
Great - I will pop into M&S this morning & have a look. Are they the ones with the suedey bit on the toe & the little pleats?
Karen & co.
Are they the ones with the suedey bit on the toe & the little pleats? No they don't have suede on, just plain black leather with a substantial sole. I did get them in the summer though Actually I wish I'd bought 2 pairs as they are so comfy I have another style from there and they are comfy too, but a little less substantial, so I keep those for going out in, away from hoards of teenagers trampling everything in their way Hope you manage to get something, another place is Office shoes, not sure where they have their stores but they have nice ones, and the store in Chester sells Crocs too Karen x ps, I think someone said Primark sells them depends on your thoughts about the store, but they are about £9.99 Edited January 10, 2008 by Guest
feemcg
I've just asked eldest daughter, as she's been through a few pairs, what her best pair have been - it's the pair she's wearing today and, in her own words "believe it or not, they're from New Look". Karen & co.
It might be New Look I was meaning not Primark They seem to last the teenagers at school stropping around in them Karen x

Cinnamon
Got some cheap & cheerfuls from New Look, & have ordered a vast selection from Schuh, including some very robust looking Hush Puppies ones They only charged £2.99 to ship 4 pairs of shoes, & I can return them straight to the store too - much easier than dragging Cleo & her feet around Reading

Couperwife
A lot of angels at the school where I teach go to new look for their shoes, they are favouring the ones with leather ribbon (if that makes sense)around the ankle they look quite nice, but a "cheap and cheerful" and "disposable" if you like. I love Schuh shoes but they are not cheap and trashable hope you get a result with shoes cathy x
Cinnamon
Cleo has now informed me that DM's are acceptable & cool, & looking on their site they do some gorgeous girls shoes. Apparantly they tick all the boxes of the Emo look And they should last for ages too
