justiceleague
Used a hairdryer Didnt seem to mind so much but think we've shocked them. Will it cause them to come to any harm? Don't know what made me do it!
Christian
As long as you used a warm/low setting, they will be fine! Please tell me you didn't back comb their feathers!
justiceleague
Well I covered their faces and held down with one arm- no combs involved except their own!
Christian
I'm sure they will be fine! Are they booked in for a weekly 'do'?

Egluntyne
My hens get wet regularly. I don't dry them off. Although I did wash a particularly grotty botty (Kentucky's) today and patted it dry.
theherd123
I use the hair dryer on mine when they get a bath if their bum feathers are a little yucky - Fizzer loved it the other week
Couperwife
we have dried ours with a hair dryer before now. there was a bad case of feather plucking going on, and a bit of blood , so each girl got a clean up, a dry off and a dose of vaseline . seemed to sort them out fine (one even fell asleep in kevs arms ) we used the cool setting, and I kept moving the feathers with my fingers (so I could feel if it was getting warm) fine cathy x
craftyhunnypie
Shampoo & Set with a purple rinse - bless them. They will be wanting curlers in next & straighteners (GHD's) for their birthdays!!! Mine prefer to leave their feathers to dry naturally, no heat damage & extra fluffy bottys!!!
