Tessa the Duchess
Sorry am having Photobucket problems. I have opened an account, and now I'm trying, trying really hard to upload some pics. I've read the tutorial, twice. Problem is it says 'choose file' so I choose iPhoto but a 'browse' button doesn't appear like it is supposed to I've tried doing it EXACTLY like their tutorial but it just defeats me HELP!! waves flag and jumps up and down Tessa

Tessa the Duchess
Dont choose iphoto. you need to choose the actual file Sorry Fred, ok I understand don't choose iPhoto, but what file? could you be a bit more specific, do you mean the actual photo I want to upload? Geoid
yes, you need to choose the actual photo, not the program But, if you find the image on iphoto (on the mac itself not though photobucket) then copy it (the photo) then paste it into the choose file bit, then upload it, it should work (but im not sure)
Tessa the Duchess
Ok I managed to find the file and pasted it into choose file and it worked and I pressed upload and a bar came up but it just stayed on 0% for ages and then it disappeared I am on dial up do you think it is because of that? I'm fed up Tessa

Ain't Nobody Here
I think Cinnamon uses stupid dial up. Read that quickly and thought you were calling Cinnamon stupid . I've reached my monthly download limit on Flickr so I'll maybe have to switch to Photobucket now. May have to refer to this thread .
Charlottechicken
I am on dial up and a slow (low user) telephone line, it takes 10 minutes to load one pic Go make a cup of tea while you wait BTW, I just double click on the pic I want to upload and that seems to work? Oh, so it is actually possible with dial up. I'll have another go tomorrow, as I've been wrestling with this most of the day, and I'm ready to throw the laptop out the window I am just going to have to bite the bullet and get broadband, I would love broadband I just hate signing up to things for 18months, 'cos experience of friends has taught me that when things go wrong ISP's are hopeless at sorting things out quickly but still charge you and you can't get out of the contract Tessa

Just don't sit watching it, you know what they say, a watched photo never uploads I am used to breaking off from the computer to load the washing up into the sink or making myself a drink or snack (or letting the hens out for a free-range) while the computer does its' thing. It doesn't bother me anymore Good luck
bronze
I normally use photobox but I've decided to open a bucket account for my chicken pictures. I'll see how I get on
The Dogmother
I use Photobucket and don't have any problems, but it is slower at home than at work. Largely due to slower machine and connection.
Christian
I think you have a Mac Tessa? One tip - use the bulk uploaded feature on photobucket, even if you only have a couple of pictures to upload. I find it a lot quicker!
