bronze
I think version 1.5 would be best. One day when I have money I will order a banty one. Freddie you just need to design bantam egg cups now

The Dogmother
Here's my bantam egg skelter, complete with eggs I spoke to Will at Omlet yesterday, he is going to look into the possibility of stocking them in the Omlet shop
Mrs Frugal
I sent a link to Johannes a few weeks ago too so hopefully they'll realise that they are selling like hot cakes, they will stock them.
freddie
I've got to put together a piece to submit to Country living and have not much idea where to start. Please may I use your photos, if I can get them to "come to me"", and can I ask for tips etc; I'd love to get into the Really expensive glossy in some ways, but feel a bit overwhelmed! Oh well, in for a penny..............

Ain't Nobody Here
Don't know if this is any good but feel free to use it (I wish I'd taken a photo of it when it was very nearly full - but then you wouldn't be able to see the skelter so well ). The Dogmother
Do your eggs roll wheh they're lengthways on Vicki? Mine will only roll with pointy end inwards. The design and dynamics are very good. Will at Omlet was impressed when I sent him a photo.
ubereglu
I'm still thinking about an egg skelter, however I'd need one in between the size of a bantam one and a large egg one...Spice's eggs are so little! Would a bantam skelter fit large eggs on too?
The Dogmother
I reckon it might Liz, depends on how big they are; mine copes well with Dolly's 54g eggs.

Ain't Nobody Here
Oops, I do have a photo with them on sideways too . Trouble is, Maisie's eggs are slightly torpedo shaped and don't roll well, causing pileups . I find it easier to keep them end to end but it means moving them manually. Lesley
ANH - you need a white egg layer.......

superjules
ANH, your egg colours are enviable! You have very clever chooks! I have today given in - my cheque for a standard egg skelter is in the post box, I wrote it out last week and have been trying to resist..... but the photos have weakened my resolve. It could be worse, at one point I was toying with the idea of getting a bantam sized one as well.
ubereglu
Well I might go for an egg skelter then, not sure, will have a word with Mum! However does anyone have both an egg skelter for bantam eggs and normal hen's eggs? It's just Spice's eggs are only 5cm long and Starlet's are really big at 6.5cm long. So I'm not sure if her eggs will fit.
bronze
Ubereglu It hink its been said somewhere that bantam ones fit a normal one just not as well. If youre worried maybe its best to go for that one.
The Dogmother
Looking at those measurements Liz, they'll both fit on the bantam skelter.
Chuckov
I've just sent a pm about getting one....perhaps if I show it to Ginger and Nutmeg they might oblige?
